What is Miva
Miva is a web applications development system that provides new tags (like HTML tags). Miva allows developers to create complex applications with little or no programming experience. The server based program functions as a pre-processor, which reads the Miva tag syntax and markup language and outputs standard HTML to the browser. Miva also supports using delimited (flat) data files or Miva database files.

How to use Miva
To use Miva you only need to apply .mv as the file extension. You can put the Miva scripts somewhere under your htdocs directory. The web server will automatically execute the Miva Engine if the file has the .mv extension. Therefore, you can access Miva scripts just like an HTML page. If your Miva program creates data files, they will be kept in the mivadata directory under your home directory.
